Surreal, bizarre, unreal, utterly brilliant are the words that come to mind after seeing this superb little short "The Barber". Chris Cleary Miles is best known for his sensitive performance as the damaged little boy in "Second Best" and here, in "The Barber" he gives another top whack performance. He has been one of my very favourite child actors since seeing "Second Best" and I was delighted to be given a copy of "The Barber" by a good friend. Interestingly Chris is credited as Christopher at the end of the movie. I don't know if Chris made "The Barber" before or after "Second Best", the only thing that I do not understand is why this guy is not a major star, he's got the lot, looks, talent, everything. I don't know if Chris is still in acting and as usual all information would be appreciated as to what he is up to these days. I've taken the unusual (for me) step to include a couple of general shots from the movie (including the superb James Bolam) to try to convey the offbeat atmosphere of this brilliant little short.
