Here's another of the great faces and great child actors. Dominic Guard acted in the quite superb film "The Go-between". This, in my opinion, is one of the great movies of all time. The film exudes a kind of brooding sexuality (yet very little is seen, the atmosphere says it all) heightened by the excessive temperature and young Leo's (Dominic Guard) innocence. The photography is quite superb and what more can you say about a cast that includes Alan Bates, Julie Christie, Edward Fox and Michael Redgrave Dominic is absolutely outstanding as the innocent young boy who is manipulated by the adults around him, the experience leaves young Leo scarred for life. In fact this is one of the great child acting performances of all time. If you haven't seen this movie see it now and marvel at the superb acting of this brilliant cast and in particular the striking young Dominic Guard.
