GRAHAM McGRATH

Graham was going to do a movie for me way back in 1985, I had agreed with his agent, Doreen English, that he should come and act in FlyPast for me but then the BBC offered him the part of the young Peter in "Peter the Great" which meant a trip to Russia for Graham and he quite understandably chose to go to Russia. I flew Noah Hathaway in to do "FlyPast", some mischevious souls have asked me which I would have preferred, Noah or Graham - and I'm not saying! Graham was quite brilliant in Channel 4's "The Last Day of Summer", outstanding in BBCTV's "Peter the Great" and "Lent". He also starred in the TV series "The Chilkdren of Green Knowe" and of course was superb in the cinema blockbuster "Krull". I think it's fair to say that Graham was one of the great British child actors of the 1980's. I believe he's still doing well as an adult actor, but why on earth doesn't somebody give him a really major role - how about the next James Bond?
