The great son of a great father - David Ladd seems to be sadly ignored these days as a child actor, he appears to be mainly celebrated for being the husband of 'Charlie's Angel' Cheryl Ladd. To me, David not only inherited the tremendous talent of his famous father (Alan Ladd), but he also brought an empathy that was all of his own to whatever role he was playing. Match this with stunning good looks and a warm attractive personality and you have all the ingredients of a major player. If you haven't seen "The Proud Rebel" in which David plays a mute boy opposite his real life father then go and buy it now, there never has been a better performance from a child actor.
