NIGEL STEWART

Nigel played 'Hoomi' in the extremely successful BBCTV Children's Television series "Who Sir, Me Sir?" that ran for six episodes during the '80s. The series was directed by Colin Cant who also directed (among others) "Out of Bounds" and "Striker" for BBCTV. Nigel's character had to provide most of the comedy for the series and this Nigel did quite brilliantly, showing that he had superb comedy timing as well as tremendous acting ability. Nigel's character had got his name by always being surprised that anyone could think he could do anything hence Hoomi (as in "Who me?"). Nigel needed to be able to run, swim and horse ride for the series and this he did with great skill. I haven't heard of him doing any recent work and it is such a shame that yet again another incredibly talented youngster seems to have been lost to the world of films and television.
