I must admit that I had never heard of this guy, in fact I had to inquire around our CAG webring to find out who he was, (there seems to be a trend towards "anonymous" titling these days!). Anyway many thanks to JM Fan for the name and info. I thought this guy gave a terrific performance in one of the best "Smallville" episodes that I have seen (entitled "Stray"). Ryan played a youngster who could read minds but who was being criminally manipulated by his stepfather. This role called for Ryan to go the whole gamut of emotions, from total fear to tears (always bloody difficult to do - I know!). Ryan has one of those terrific faces that you very rarely seem to find, add that to a tremendous talent and you have one seriously good child actor. I have no idea how old he is but I guess that he was "playing down" to his real age. JM Fan tells me that Ryan had a small role in the movie "Stolen Summer," which was the subject of a cable TV documentary in the US called "Project Greenlight." Well I think it's about time someone gave this guy a serious major movie - he would have been one great Anakin Skywalker!
