Stuart acted in Roger Lambert's "I Want To Be Famous" opposite Steve Bratt. Although he has less to do in the movie than Steve, he accomplishes everything that is asked of him with style and panache. His is a difficult role treading a fine line between his loyalty and friendship for Steve but also drawn by his soccer playing friends and the desire to be popular. The story was that Roger initially cast a completely different boy in the role but after the first days filming dismissed the kid and late that night dug out Stuart who had appeared in an amateur production. If this story is true then it is all the more to Stuart's credit that he dropped into the part with such a steady handed assurity. Stuart's handling of emotions from the manic machine gun scene (reminiscent of "If") to the hilarity of the mud splashing and the boyish humour in the 'hide and seek' game, show the mark of a true natural talent. I don't think that Stuart ever made another movie. You can find out more about "I Want To Be Famous" on www.imdb.com
